District sports association

The major district sport association of Helmstedt is an interdisciplinary sports organization of 162 sports clubs as well as 10 district clubs (as of January 2017) in the county Helmstedt. Our tasks include:

• the support of local sports clubs in the field of education, physical education of youth and the progress and development of sports
• the financial and creative support of sports clubs
• the representation of interests towards the county of Helmstedt and the sports association of Lower Saxony
• the implementation of events and projects for local sports clubs. Our main goal is the development of sports offers and infrastructure in order to facilitate physical education and exercise for everybody.
